About Us

B.Sc (CS ) was established in the year of 1997. M.Sc (CS & IT) was started in the year 2002 and converted to M.Sc(CS)  in the year 2016. DTP, DCA courses were introduced in 2010. The Department is also offering various Value Added courses. The Department aims to educate, engage and empower rural girls towards Global Knowledge Hub, striving continuously in pursuit of excellence in education and train them to apply their knowledge and skills for the betterment of society and provide a current, comprehensive, and collaborative student-centered learning environment for computer science and professional values associated with the discipline. Department is committed to encourage students/researchers to carry out innovative research in the field of computer science, keeping excellence in focus and deliver quality services to match the needs of the technical education system,  industry and society. The department of Computer Science as a whole aims at the development of Computer Science Professionals with ethical values  and society concern.

  • To empower the graduates to be technologically skillful, innovative, self-motivated and responsible citizens, possessing human values and contribute significantly towards being a center of excellence in providing globally standard education, through a conducive Teaching and Research environment, that responds swiftly to the challenges of the ever changing world.

  • To achieve academic excellence by imparting in-depth knowledge to the students through effective pedagogic and hands on experience on latest tools and technologies.
  • To pursue interdisciplinary research that will serve the needs of the entire global community.
  • To prepare students to be continuous learners in a connected world and imbibe professional skills and ethical responsibilities in them.
  • To strengthen the Industry-Academia interface that will help the graduates to emerge as leaders in academics or as inspiring revolutionaries in entrepreneurship.
  • To provide service to the community, both inside and outside the university, and to society as a whole.

The Computer Science is a versatile and evergreen and it gives me an immense pleasure to express my views towards the development of Computer Science Department. Besides a very strong and disciplined Academics, Department has started various practices for the overall development of students which includes SPEAK Forum for the Employ-ability Skills, Technovation  for the Project development based on innovative ideas, Software Consultancy Cell for software development, Mentorship activities and regular interaction with students.

 

Students are having enormous talents and creativity which are being explored by extra co-curricular activities like Group Discussion, debate, Extempore, Programming contests, projects etc organized. Every year we observe lots of achievements in both academics and extra-curricular activities. Throughout the year on behalf of professional bodies and department association, lots of activities are conducted. Many students participated in these activities and the activities outside the college and bagged number of prizes. Hearty congratulations to all of them!!!

 

The department offers excellent academic environment with a team of highly qualified dedicated faculty members to inspire the students to develop their technical skills and inculcate the spirit of team work in them.

 

Lastly I congratulate the creative and sincere efforts taken by my faculty members and students for the achievement of  Computer Department and I wish all of them a great success in their bright future.

  • At the time of Department club activities we conduct only academic oriented activities not cultural.
  • Every year 1st year students prepare chart to demonstrate the concepts of EVS subject.
  • We are celebrating National Science Day in our college.  On that day we conducted various activities like Exhibition, Model display etc.

DEPARTMENT STUDENT ACTIVITIES COUNCIL (DSAC)

 

DSAC governs the Student Ordinate. President, Vice-President, General Secretary and few other members nominated / selected by the advisory committee.

President, Vice-President and General Secretary has a 3year and 1year students. The selection of the DSAC shall be done by the Selection Council. DSAC is the governing body of the entire student ordinate.

  • DSAC governs the club events, club activities, framing the club structure, functioning of clubs and preparing policies.
  • DSAC maintains external body relations, inter college relations.
  • DSAC attends the needs and meeting the vision of college.
  • Standing Council reports its activities and is answerable to Principal and Department.

Roles of DSAC

PRESIDENT

  • President is the head of the DSAC and its meetings.
  • President is the official representative of Student Council  in all the activities, events and various forums externally and internally.
  • President is the answerable person in regard to the governing of Student Council.
  • President is the decision taking authority in the DSAC on the constitution and discussion with the advisory committee.
  • President monitors the function of the members of the DSAC as per their protocol.
