The Department of Commerce (Professional Accounting) was established in 2021 with the objective of providing specialized education in the field of accounting and finance. The B.Com (Professional Accounting) program is designed to equip students with strong knowledge in professional accounting practices, financial management, auditing, and taxation.
The program prepares students for promising careers in accounting and finance by combining theoretical knowledge with practical exposure. It also encourages students to pursue globally recognized professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). In addition to classroom learning, the department organizes seminars, workshops, internships, and project work, enabling students to gain practical experience and industry-oriented skills.
