RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. The Hall ticket will be issued to the candidate only if she satisfies the Attendance and other requirements as per the Regulations. If later, it is found that the candidate fails to comply with the above requirements, the examinations written by the candidate will be treated as cancelled
  2. Candidate should produce the hall ticket on demand by the Invigilator / Chief Superintendent (CS) / Squad members
  3. Candidate shall not write anything in the hall ticket
  4. A seat marked with Register number will be provided to each candidate. Candidate will occupy the allotted seat at least 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
  5. Normally the candidate will not be permitted to enter the hall after the commencement of the examination. Only on extraordinary circumstances, the candidates will be permitted during the first thirty minutes of the examination after obtaining the written permission from the Principal.
  6. Candidate shall not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the expiry of 45 minutes from the commencement of examination.
  7. Candidate who is suffering from infectious diseases of any kind shall not be admitted to the examination hall.
  8. Strict silence should be maintained in the examination hall.
  9. Candidate is required to bring her own pens, pencils and erasers. Candidate should use only blue or black ink while answering her papers.
  10. Before proceeding to answer the paper, the candidate should write her register number, semester, subject and date of the examination at the appropriate space provided in the first page of the answer book and nowhere else in the answer book.
  11. If a candidate writes her register number on any part of the answer book / sheets other than the one provided for or puts any special mark or writes anything which may disclose, in any way, the identity of the candidate, she will render herself liable for disciplinary actions.
  12. Candidate shall not talk / ask questions of any kind during the examination
  13. Candidate shall not carry any written / printed matter any paper material, mobile phone, pen drive, tablet, programmable calculator, any unauthorized data sheet / table into the examination hall and if anything is found in her possession, she shall be liable for disciplinary actions.
  14. No candidate shall pass any papers or question papers to any other candidate. No candidate shall allow another candidate to copy from her answer paper. If found committing such malpractice the involved candidates shall be liable for disciplinary actions.
  15. Candidate will have to hand over the answer book to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.

Do’s:

  • Ensure that the exam schedule is prepared well in advance and communicated to students, faculty, and staff clearly.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of exam papers and other sensitive documents.
  • Conduct briefing sessions for invigilators, informing them of their duties and responsibilities during the examination process.
  • Ensure that examination rooms are properly arranged, including adequate seating, signage, and a proper environment (lighting, ventilation, etc.).
  • Display important information such as seat numbers, exam timings, and hall instructions on notice boards and through digital means.
  • Ensure that students receive their hall tickets on time, and verify that they meet eligibility criteria before the exams.
  • Supply invigilators and exam rooms with essential materials like question papers, answer sheets, and attendance sheets.
  • If online exams are conducted, ensure that technical support is available to resolve any problems swiftly.
  • Follow institutional and statutory regulations including standard operating procedures for conducting examination.
  • Keep accurate records of exam attendance, answer sheets, and invigilator reports.
  • Take action immediately upon any signs of exam malpractice following proper institutional procedures.
  • Ensure that answer sheets are properly counted, organized and securely stored to avoid loss or tampering.
  • Ensure that answer sheets are submitted to faculty for grading on time and that results are processed promptly.

Don’ts:

  • Avoid last-minute arrangements for examination halls, invigilation duty allotment or question paper printing.
  • Unauthorized materials (e.g., mobiles, notes) should not be allowed into the exam hall.
  • Avoid discussing or sharing exam-related information (such as questions or schedules) with unauthorized individuals.
  • Exam halls should not be left unsupervised by invigilators at any time during the exam.
  • Do not fail to address any confusion or questions students may have regarding the exam rules, schedules or seating arrangements.
  • Avoid any disturbances, such as late entry, noise or interruptions that could distract students during exams.
