CAREER GUIDANCE & PLACEMENT CELL

OVERVIEW

The Placement and Career Development Cell of a college plays a vital role in preparing students for successful careers. It acts as a bridge between students and employers by organizing campus recruitment drives, internships, and industry interactions. The cell focuses on enhancing students’ employability skills through training programs such as aptitude tests, communication skills, group discussions, resume writing, and interview preparation. It also provides career guidance, counseling, and information about job opportunities in various sectors. By collaborating with companies and industry experts, the Placement and Career Development Cell helps students explore career options and secure suitable employment after graduation.

PLACEMENT TRAINING

Placement training offered in our college is designed to prepare students for campus recruitment and future career opportunities. It focuses on developing essential employability skills such as aptitude, logical reasoning, communication skills, group discussion techniques, resume preparation, and interview skills.

Objectives of Placement Training:

  1. Placement training helps students develop essential communication and professional skills.
  2. It prepares students for aptitude tests, interviews, and group discussions.
  3. The training strengthens technical and problem-solving abilities.
  4. It builds confidence and reduces fear of the recruitment process.
  5. Placement training improves students’ chances of getting placed in reputed companies.

Outcome of the Placement Training Program

The Placement Cell organizes a three-day placement training program for all final-year UG and PG students every year with the objective of preparing them for campus recruitment and professional life.

Day 1 focuses on Interview Handling and Group Discussion tips. Students are trained on interview strategies, common interview questions, and effective participation in group discussions.

Day 2 covers Corporate Etiquette, where students learn about professional behavior, workplace ethics, communication skills, and creating a positive first impression.

Day 3 involves Mock Interviews, providing students with real interview exposure and personalized feedback to improve their performance.

Outcome:
The program helps students gain confidence and overcome fear related to interviews. All participants develop a better understanding of interview techniques, corporate expectations, and professional conduct, thereby enhancing their placement readiness
