About the Standards Club

Standards Club had been inaugurated in our college in association with BIS, Madurai Branch. BIS, the National Standards Body of India develops and publishes Indian Standards. Students are the future and form the foundation, on which a strong, vibrant and dynamic nation is built. Considering this Standards Club had been inaugurated in our college on 06.10.2023 in coordination with BIS Madurai branch.

The Standards Club may carry out a variety of student-centric activities aimed at providing them opportunities for learning on the themes of Quality and Standardization.

On behalf of the Standards Club the following activities/competitions are organized among the students.

• Awareness Programme – Seminars and Workshops on Quality and Standards related subjects and their role in the upliftment of quality of life and economic development.
• Competitions such as Quiz, Essay-writing, Debate etc. on Quality and Standards ecosystem.
• Competition on writing Standards. iv)Industry exposure visit.

BIS offers Certificate and attractive cash Prize to the students who win the competitions. The Prize amountbreak upis as follows.

• 1st Prize = Rs 1000/-
• 2nd Prize = Rs 750/-
• 3rd Prize = Rs 500/-
• Consolation Prize = Rs 250/-
